Greg Shearer thanked everyone for coming
and welcomed them to the newly remodeled sale facility.

This fall sale of the Spear U Angus Ranch was packed full of great genetics and the seats were equally full of friends and customers. The bulls were solid footed, stout coming two-year-olds that will insure heavy service this coming breeding season. The sale hosts, Greg and Lori Shearer and Family along with John and Carisa Deadrichs, Wall, SD, produced a set of bulls that were in demand from start to finish of the fast paced auction. Many repeat customers took home bulls, but there was some new buying interest that resulted into some great seedstock purchases. There was an excellent set of commercial cattlemen bred heifers offered and were very reasonably priced.

Topping the sale was Lot 1 (above) selling for $6,500 to Don Fish, Buffalo Gap, SD. This 3-12-07 son of Baldridge Kaboom out of the great Spear U Ranch donor cow SUA 6I6 Sunset 9110 produced excellent numbers and style. He posted a birth wt. of 90, weaning wt. of 652, scrotal cm 39, sale day weight of 1,675, IMF 6.26, REA 13.3, $B 55.84 and EPDs of BW 1.3, WW 53, M 7, YW 102.

Shannon Gartner, Interior, SD, paid $5,750 to own lot 15, a son of GAR Expectation 6901. This 2-22-07 bull posted a birth wt. of 78, weaning wt. of 643, scrotal cm. of 39, and EPDs of BW 0.7, WW 56, M 18, YW 94.

Lenden Kjerstad, Creighton, SD, (above) paid $5,250 to own lot 8, a son of GAR New Design 5050 out of a Spear U Ranch Hand daughter. This 3-1-07 bull posted EPDs of BW 0.7, WW 39, M 24, YW 87 and $B 56.07.

Maher Ranch, Timber Lake, SD, paid $5,000 to own lot 12 a ET son of Baldridge Kaboom out of the donor cow SUA 6I6 Sunset 9110 (6I6 x TC Rancher). This 3-13-07 bull posted EPDs of BW 1.3, WW 53, M 7, YW 102 and $B 53.89.

Lenden Kjerstad, made another top purchase with his final bid of $4,750 to own lot 47, a 3-14-07 son of New Design 5050. This bull posted EPDs of BW 1.1, WW 46, M 24, YW 104 and $B 64.19.

Jody Brown, Faith, SD, (above) made some great purchases including a son of Rito 6I6 for $3,750.
